Dreaming Parramatta – a model for the future

The process undertaken to develop ParramarraTwenty25 was called Dreaming Parramatta and was based on a simple five-step process known as the Oregon Model. From this model, a process was mapped out to deliver a common Strategic Plan for the city.

Oregon Model

This model has been used with great success internationally and within Australia, in processes such as Hillsboro 2020, Portland Future Focus, Flagstaff 2020, Wollongong Futures and Blue Mountains – Our Future. Each step in the Oregon Model focuses on a driving question, as shown in the Figure below.
